4.5/5 Stars

Morrigan Crow is cursed. Being born on Everntide means she is set to die on her eleventh birthday. But as she awaits her fate a strange man called Jupiter appears to wish her away to a secret city called Nevermoor. In Nevermoor Morrigan has to face a set of trials to gain a place in the Wundrous society. Losing could mean certain death.

This book was so much fun. I loved every page I was reading. Morrigan was the perfect main character, flawed but easy to root for. At the beginning of the book where we see Morrigan as the cursed child being shamed and hated by people for no reason, I couldn't help feeling sorry for her so when Jupiter came on the scene to take her away to a new adventure I was so excited when reading it and thoroughly enjoyed myself reading those scenes. My favourite part was the relationship between Jupiter and Morrigan, I wish we had more scenes with them that weren't just about the trials but I loved all the scenes we had of them.

I loved the ending scenes and the plot twists in it, I didn't expect it at all and enjoyed it until the very last page when I was sad that it had ended but happy knowing that there are another two books in the series.
